| Serving Seniors in the Counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Franklin and Jefferson Since 1973
MEAAA and St. Louis Area Agency on Aging Senior Centers serve as community focal points for older citizens. Each multi-purpose center offers hot, nutritious congregate meals and delivers meals to eligible homebound seniors. (The number of meals that can be delivered in each area depends on the number of available volunteers.)
Most centers are open every weekday and offer educational, recreational and health programs, along with Information and Assistance services, telephone reassurance, volunteer opportunities and more. There is no charge for center meals or services, but participants are given the opportunity to support them with contributions.

Meals on Wheels
MEAAA's Meals on Wheels program brings nutritionally balanced meals on a voluntary contribution basis to eligible homebound people age 60 and older. To apply, contact the MEAAA senior center nearest you. Ask for the center's administrator. He or she will visit applicants to determine if they are eligible. People who receive this service may make voluntary contributions to help support the program.
The program also needs volunteers to make meals available to more seniors in need. If you need home-delivered meals or would like to volunteer, call the senior center nearest you in St. Louis, Jefferson, Franklin or St. Charles counties.
Exercise Programs
Many of MEAAA's multi-purpose senior centers offer regularly scheduled exercise, dance and health programs. The programs emphasize exercising at home as well as at the organized sessions. Senior volunteer instructors conduct the programs.
If you would like to join the program or volunteer to lead sessions, contact the senior center nearest you in St. Louis, Jefferson, Franklin or St. Charles counties.
